The Cabinet Office agreed set of principles

The Cabinet Office have signed an agreement with PCS and the other unions regarding the terms and conditions of apprentices and the supply of information regarding apprenticeships.

The civil service departments are committed to delivering apprenticeship programs as they realise that the long-term future of the work they do can be realised through quality apprenticeship programs.

They have developed procedures and policies for the recruitment of apprentices.

It is part of the undertaking of the Cabinet Office agreed set of principles that trade unions should be involved in workforce planning and development and the implementation and monitoring of the cabinet office framework.

Therefore each department should advise PCS of information relating to apprenticeships and in turn PCS should have access to those individuals which managers should facilitate.
