Courses

The PCS Academy offers a range of courses and bite-sized learning sessions:

  • For upcoming PCS trade union education training programmes for reps, plus a range of shorter national courses for members, see the listings below. Note that further non-PCS courses for Northern Ireland-based reps are at the bottom of this page.
  • For member learning sessions at lunchtime, on a wide range of subjects such as equality, employability, ICT and writing skills, pensions, financial wellbeing, and more, see the listings below
  • For other training opportunities see the process for applying for and attending non-PCS courses. Most TUC, ICTU and GFTU courses are free to members, subject to PCS education department agreement. However we generally advise attendance at a PCS course where our own equivalent training is available.
  • Group training requests
  • Learning sessions for members in your branch or workplace can also be arranged through the Branch Learning Fund. These cover a wide range of subjects such as Black history, pensions, employability, stress, resolving problem debt, retirement and many more.
  • PCS National Learning Strategy: A Manifesto for Learning
  • Download the PCS Academy Prospectus which summarises content of our courses.
