Empowering Young Women in PCS

Join us on International Women's Day for an online inclusive event celebrating and empowering young women in PCS, chaired by Rose Baker, the PCS national young members' committee equality officer.

We will be taking a look through the lens at empowering young women in the early stages of their trade union activism, with informative breakout rooms providing a safe space to discuss what is holding some women back from getting active in PCS (and the wider movement), and what we can do to empower our sisters.

We will be joined by Friss Premru from #MeTU to talk about the incredible work they have been doing to support and encourage women in the movement, to speak up about incidents of harassment or assault they have experienced in their Trade Union's, and how to overcome barriers to participation.
