On 15 April 2023, Sudan’s two principal militias (the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces) launched a war which has devastated the country, as they fight over control of Sudan.

This war followed on from their joint overthrow of the civilian partners in the transitional government and months of brutal repression, contested heroically by the Resistance Committees, trade unions and other organisations leading the popular revolution since 2018. 

The war in Sudan continues - indeed it has got worse as it spreads out from the Capital.

PCS is affiliated to the MENA solidarity network which has established links with Sudanese trade unions.

The network’s immediate concern is that the war in Sudan is not being reported.

To partially offset that, the MENA campaign is asking affiliated unions to publicise the situation in Sudan.

Accordingly, as a first step in helping the network, we have arranged this online meeting. The Zoom link to join the meeting is below.
