Candidates announced in Group and National elections

Nominations have closed and the candidates for the 2024 PCS NEC and GEC elections have been confirmed. It's an important opportunity for you to have your say in who represents you and your colleagues.

Ballot papers will shortly arrive with PCS members so you can have your say in who will represent you on group and national executive committees.

The elections for the national executive committee (NEC) opens on Thursday 18 April and is a postal vote, with ballots being issued to members' addresses. The election for group executive committees (GECs) opens a week later on Thursday 25 April and voting will be online through PCS Digital.

The NEC election will close on Thursday 9 May and the GEC elections will close on Tuesday 14 May.

The NEC and GEC are important bodies within PCS who are responsible for implementing conference policy and negotiating with employers. The decisions made by the NEC and group executives directly affect PCS members.

In order to vote in these important elections you must be a PCS member by 11 April for the NEC election and 18 April for the GEC elections. Being a PCS member gives you a stronger voice in the workplace and allows us to negotiate better terms, conditions and pay for you and your colleagues. Join PCS now if you haven’t done so yet.
