Career advice for PCS young members in Scotland

Young members based out of Social Security Scotland in Dundee are holding a meeting with Miriam Craven with the aim of providing career advice.

The meeting will be held on Microsoft Teams on 9 February at 10am and we will send out further information about how to attend nearer the time. 

Miriam joined the civil service in 2004. Her previous posts include: 

  • Deputy director, Strategy, Change, Data and Engagement, Social Security Scotland
  • Head of local delivery, Social Security Scotland
  • Director of policy and engagement, Student Awards Agency Scotland
  • Funding awareness and training manager, Student Awards Agency Scotland
  • Interim director of the Ukraine Resettlement programme 

Miriam has gone from A3 to director level within 15 years and will discuss this, provide some career advice for young members and answer some questions related to her career.
