Get ready for your AGM

The PCS annual general meeting season is upon us in the new year. Find out all you need to know.

Branches and reps are busy setting dates for annual general meetings (AGMs).  They must take place by 7 March, and members should be given a minimum of 28 days notice of the meeting.

If you're a PCS member, look out for the details of your AGM and put it in your diary. Start writing motions to be debated and voted upon at the AGM so you have a say in what policies and campaigns PCS supports and pursues during the next year.

If you need help on how to write a motion - which is basically a suggestion of what you would like PCS to do - speak to one of your local reps for help.

Training

There are still places on our popular Preparing for your PCS AGM course. This is an extra date as the previous two courses have been fully booked. It is on 17 and 18 January (10am - 12:30pm both days). The short course gives branch officers all the information you need to run a great 2024 AGM. Register online (log-in to PCS Digital required).
