How to enter the PCS Organising and Communications Awards

PCS is now accepting nominations for this year’s organising and communications awards, which highlight the vital work our activists do to engage with members.

PCS recognises the vital role that reps, branches, groups, regions and equality networks play in delivering the national organising strategy and communicating and engaging with members.

We are now accepting nominations for this year’s Organising and Communications Awards. The closing date for receipt of nominations is noon on Friday 26 April 2024.

There are three organising and communication awards:

  • The individual award seeks to recognise the organising and communication work of an individual rep. When nominating think about individuals who have taken a lead in organising, communicating with members, and have delivered results.
  • The team award seeks to recognise the organising and communication work of a team of
    activists.
  • The new activist award recognises the work of a member who has become active in the union in the last year and has made a significant contribution to the work of PCS.

We are looking for a wide range of entries from across the union on organising and learning plans, activity, methods and successes, and communicating and engaging with members.

Entries need to be accompanied by a supporting statement of no more than 200 words and will be judged by the NEC’s organising and education sub-committee and the editorial board. The awards will be presented at annual delegate conference 2024.

Members and branches are encouraged to submit their entries using the Microsoft Forms application form. You can download further information on how to nominate and guidance for entries from PCS Knowledge.
