How you can help with the ballot

If you’d like to help out with the ballot in your workplace and get more involved, you can become a PCS Advocate.

It’s important to get the message out about our consultative ballot, to make sure everyone understands the importance of voting and what the ballot is about.

PCS Advocates are members who actively support the union and want to get more involved. It is the next step if you’re interested in union activity but don’t feel ready to become a rep. Your role as an advocate will be to help build the strength of the union where you work.

If you’re interested, speak to your workplace rep who’ll be able to sign you up as an Advocate. Or you can register yourself using the “Get Involved” option when you log into PCS Digital.

After registering your interest you’ll be contacted by one of your branch reps who will complete a short (15-20 minutes) induction with you. This is designed to get you immediately involved in local organising work.

You will then start receiving Advocate-specific emails and be able to attend further training sessions.

For more information contact organising@pcs.org.uk or speak to your local rep.
