National Safety Forum meeting

Health and safety (H&S) leads at all levels of the union are invited to attend the next meeting of the National Safety Forum on 4 October.

The NEC Health and Safety sub-committee has organised a National Safety Forum to discuss H&S work in the union for the year ahead. 

The meeting takes place via Zoom on Wednesday 4 October from 12:00 to 14:00. Attendees will be sent a Zoom link and a briefing/agenda in due course. 

All group and national branch H&S leads are invited to attend, as well as any regional and equality H&S leads. The sub-committee would like there to be a representative from each group, national branch, region and equality forum in attendance.  

There are several topics that the sub-committee would like to discuss. These include: 

  • Increasing the numbers and coverage of safety reps; 
  • Increasing the number and coverage of safety committees; and 
  • Improving the provision of information on H&S matters.  

The forum is also an opportunity for lead H&S reps to propose ideas to the sub-committee about what the union’s priorities should be.
