PCS A-Z: Y is for Young members

Addressing the unique concerns of young workers is a key focus of PCS and our young members’ network.

There are many issues that particularly affect young members including job security, career progression, work-life balance, and fair treatment in the workplace. With the cost of living crisis and high mortgage rates many are struggling to pay for homes of their own.

PCS Young Members' Network is a vibrant and empowering part of PCS, catering to members under 27. It provides a platform for young workers in the union to engage, participate, and make their voices heard.

The network provides opportunities for young members to contribute their ideas, discuss their concerns and shape the union's policies and decisions.

The network recognises the importance of inclusive and supportive environments, where diversity is celebrated, and discrimination is challenged.

If you are aged 27 or under you can join the PCS young members' network. Email equality@pcs.org.uk for more details of your regional group.
