Sign up for the PCS Sexual Harassment Conference

An online conference on 25 April will signal renewed union efforts to improve workplace awareness and challenge of sexual harassment.

Shocking research by the TUC found that over 1 in 2 women and nearly 7 out of 10 LGBT workers are sexually harassed in the workplace. PCS is committed to holding all civil service departments to account on their legal duty to prevent sexual harassment.

This means solid training and meaningful policies for better awareness, prevention and protection. Members can access resources on PCS Digital to help identify and challenge sexual harassment and fight its prevalence.

Our sexual harassment conference has been arranged in response to motion A64 passed at the PCS annual delegate conference last year. The conference is open to all members to attend and will be recorded with transcription and live captions available.

It will take place online, on Thursday 25 April, 12.30pm to 5.00pm:

  • Host: Jackie Green, PCS national vice president and chair of PCS national women’s forum
  • General secretary Fran Heathcote
  • PCS legal department
  • PCS campaigns and parliamentary department
  • Specialist training from London Metropolitan Police

Please register to attend. The deadline is 12 noon, Wednesday 24 April. Registered members will be sent an email with the Zoom joining details. Any questions, please contact the Equality Department: equality@pcs.org.uk.
