PCS-WEA event in London to mark Black History Month 2023

Join us for a special in-person event in PCS headquarters in London to mark Black History Month 2023, featuring a programme packed full of workshops and discussion sessions.

All members in London are encouraged to register to attend this event, which was jointly organised by PCS and the Workers Educational Association (WEA), a leading adult education charity.

Celebrating the theme of ‘Leadership in the Black Communities’, this WEA and PCS in-person event will take place between 10am until 4pm on 19 October at 160 Falcon Road, London, SW11 2LN.

It is open to all PCS members and people who are not members of PCS or any trade union. But everyone wishing to attend must request to register their attendance on Eventbrite.

The guest speaker will be Arthur Torrington CBE, a historian and co-founder of the London-based Windrush Foundation.

Members of the WEA Trade Unions Branch, colleagues from the trade union movement, Nimo Hirsi of the SOS Education Group, and Oshor Williams of the Professional Footballers’ Association are among the other key speakers.

For more information about this event, please see Eventbrite or contact the PCS Equalities team on equality@pcs.org.uk.
