Be part of our PCS recruitment video – Share your story and inspire others
Are you a proud PCS member or rep who believes in the power of union solidarity? Do you want to help inspire others to join PCS and experience the benefits of collective strength? If so, we’d love for you to take part in an exciting new project, a short recruitment video that will showcase the voices and experiences of our members.
We’re inviting PCS members and reps from all departments, grades, and locations to get involved. Whether you’ve been active in PCS for years or have only recently joined, your story matters. This is a fantastic opportunity to share how PCS has supported you, improved your working life, and helped build a stronger workplace community.
The video will highlight the many benefits of PCS membership, including:
- Workplace representation and support during difficult times
- Collective bargaining for fair pay, conditions, and job security
- Access to training, development, and learning opportunities
- A strong, inclusive network of solidarity and mutual support.
Your contribution will help us reach new members and will be used in induction events, recruitment campaigns, and promotional materials. We want to feature real people with real experiences; members who understand the value of union membership and are willing to share what it means to them.
Bring your passion
You don’t need any previous experience in front of a camera. Filming will be short, flexible, and fully supported, with guidance provided throughout. All we ask is that you bring your passion and speak honestly about why PCS matters to you.
By taking part, you’ll be helping to build a stronger, more informed union. Your voice could be the one that encourages someone to join PCS, get involved, and make a difference in their workplace. Whether you’ve benefited from union support during a grievance, taken part in industrial action, or simply value the sense of community PCS provides, your story can help others see the importance of joining.
We’re especially keen to reflect the diversity of our membership across roles, backgrounds, and experiences so that new members can see themselves represented in our union.
If you’re interested in participating, please contact Karen Alderson, PCS Home Office Group Vice President, via Microsoft Teams or by email at [email protected].
