Department for Education industrial action ballot result
Turnout was 39.28% in the ballot on planned office closures in Croydon, Exeter, Leeds, Newcastle, Peterborough and Watford, impacting over 350 staff.
PCS members in the Department of Education have voted overwhelmingly for strike action in the ballot which closed Tuesday 21 July.
Unfortunately, the turnout was 39.28% which falls short of the 50% voting threshold needed to legally comply with the anti-trade union laws. This means that action cannot be called at this time.
