Employer policy library launched
Today we launched our new employer policy library in PCS Knowledge.
With well over 200 employers operating across the civil service and private sectors, there are currently more than 200 different sets of pay and terms and conditions in place.
The PCS national bargaining and policy unit and communications team have collated many of the key employer policies into a reference library within Knowledge in PCS Digital. This will provide easier access for reps and bargaining officers to check and compare current policies across all departments and agencies.
PCS negotiators will be able to quickly review current policies against proposed changes to terms and conditions. The employer policy library will also help support our work towards our ultimate aim of a common, service-wide approach to pay and personnel policy.
PCS general secretary Fran Heathcote said "I am delighted to announce the launch of the employer policy library. This could prove a key tool for reps and negotiators. It also shows again that as a union we are developing and adapting our use of technology to suit our reps’ and members’ needs.”
We will continue to add to the library overtime, adding content that is useful for negotiations and policy development, linking to central Cabinet Office policies, legislative changes and related PCS guidance.
