Let’s do some PCS training this Autumn

New education programme covering August to December

Today PCS Academy launches its programme of courses for the next term.  There’s training for all - from new members to the most experienced reps.

  • Get involved - Find out more about PCS and how to get involved via our Welcome to PCS courses
  • Advocates – contact your local branch for a short induction on supporting the union in your own workplace. This session can be followed up with a Next Steps bitesize course in your region, where you can meet new advocates in other branches;
  • Skills & Knowledge - sign up for a PCS Workplace Rep's course, or get specialised training, e.g. as a Health & Safety, Learning or Equality rep;
  • Develop – learn what you need to perform a new branch role e.g. if you’ve now been elected as secretary, chair, treasurer or organiser,
  • Fight for fairness - attend a short course on an issue your branch may want to campaign on, e.g. reasonable adjustments, sexual harassment, menopause.

How to apply

All courses are now available for online registration. All you need to do is register and log-in to PCS Digital, then click on ‘Courses & Events’ and select your course. You can also browse the PCS Academy August to December courses available in your region. You can find out what each course ‘looks like’ in the PCS Academy Prospectus.
