PCS statement on anti-Muslim attacks in Edinburgh

PCS is shocked and saddened by the recent events which took place in Edinburgh which targeted members of the Muslim community.

The worrying rise in anti-Muslim rhetoric, stoked by an emboldened far right, has no place in our communities and we believe that governments across the UK must do more to challenge these abhorrent levels of racism and intolerance which are fuelled by ignorance and hate. 

PCS stands with our members who have been impacted by these recent events and we will continue to stand against all forms of violence, racism and hatred in any form. We commend the emergency services for their swift actions and we stand in solidarity with our members of all faiths during this time.
