PCS members in DWP have undertaken a five-week ballot on pay which closed at noon on 23 February.
PCS members in the DWP, the biggest single department in the civil service, are currently being balloted for strike action over pay. This followed an 80% vote for strike action in an indicative ballot last year.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced plans to close the Lincoln service and support centre at city hall in May. This decision has put 128 skilled jobs at risk, with limited redeployment options due to poor transport links and the nearest alternative office being over 40 miles away. For many members, this is not just a workplace issue - it’s a community one.
