Midlands Regional Committee Stands with DWP Lincoln
On Tuesday 5 November, members of the PCS Midlands regional committee joined striking workers on the DWP Lincoln picket line in a strong show of solidarity.
The visit was to support members across the Midlands acting for fair pay, improved conditions, and respect in the workplace.
The DWP Lincoln branch has been to the forefront of the fight against low pay and the government’s refusal to address the cost-of-living crisis faced by civil servants. Their determined campaign has seen strong picket lines, creative local actions, and the unwavering commitment of members determined to win change.
Midlands regional secretary Danielle Jackson said: “Our members in DWP Lincoln are showing what real union strength looks like - standing together, taking action, and refusing to be ignored. The regional committee’s visit was about making sure they know they’re not alone. Every workplace in the Midlands is part of this fight.”
Regional committee delegates spoke with members on the line about the issues driving the dispute, sharing experiences from other workplaces and reaffirming that the whole Midlands region stands behind them.
