World Health Day 2026

Join our online event on 7 April, looking at flexible working and reasonable adjustments in the workplace.

On Tuesday 7 April, it’s World Health Day 2026. The World Health Organisation's theme this year is “Together for health. Stand with science”.

It’s a year‑long campaign celebrating the power of scientific collaboration to protect the health of people, animals, plants, and the planet. The campaign spotlights both scientific achievements and the multilateral cooperation needed to turn evidence into action – through a strong focus on the One Health approach.

The national disabled members’ forum (NDMF) invites all members to join them for an online event to celebrate World Health Day on Zoom on Tuesday 7 April at 6pm.

The event focuses on the importance of flexible working and reasonable adjustment policies on the health of our members. It aims to educate members on the differences between flexible working and reasonable adjustments, which can be used to help manage and work with health conditions and disabilities, as well as caring responsibilities. We will be linking these topics to legislation to give you an understanding of your rights and what you can ask for to improve your mental and physical health in the workplace."

Hosted by Hannah David, national vice president and NDMF chair, members will hear from Tracey Hylton, HMRC rep on NDMF and national Black members’ committee vice chair and Ian Lawther, NEC member on NDMF.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions.

Please register online and the joining link and event information will be emailed to you before the event.
